myCSA is an app for CSA members to make weekly selections during the farm share season.

CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture, also known as farm shares) link local farmers to a community of consumers. 

Research

As a CSA member myself, I know these local, mostly volunteer-run programs could use improvement. After 5 extensive one-on-one CSA member interviews, similar pain points came to light.

Information Search

While conducting user interviews, I had to identify where users were already getting the weekly information they needed. Although the users I interviewed were members of different CSAs, they shared similar problems. Overall the process for choosing vegetables week to week, finding and buying "extras" and being more involved in the CSA community was hard to keep track of without one central hub of information. 

User Profile

Based on this research, I created a user profile to hone in on specific needs to address within the app.
